WOWW GOOD ONE BRO!

If the developers are in the middle of a sprint, do you prepare to have items included in the next upcoming one, or just negotiate with the product owner for addition of the backlog items?

I am starting to think that being within the scrum team is an optimal consultant position: there's no reason a technical SEO can't be a developer in a scrum team working towards a relevant sprint goal, depending on other capacity.

I prepare items in the next sprint (which is a lot of the work for a product person). Although backlog management is something I need to write about as it isn't as straight forward as that in practice (just in principle). When you are involved in the day-to-day of sprints you learn that there are two "sprints". The discovery sprint and the delivery sprint. The discovery sprint is all about gathering requirements and breaking down ideas into user stories that provide value and are small enough to be released in up coming sprints. It's optimal if you know the process and procedure of the team using Scrum - all teams work differently.
